  • Leak Rate: 1E-9pam³/s even lower

Features & Benifits
Spring Energized Metal U-ring is based on a metallic “U” substrate, designed to be used for static and low-cycle dynamic shaft seals. By default, Spring Energized Metal U-Rings for axial Pressure are system pressure energized, they require high bolting load and have good spring back. Due to its special structure and material, Spring Energized Metal U-rings can be used in working conditions such as high temperature (up to 750°C), cryogenic (low to -270°C), high pressure (up to 1500kgf/cm2), high vacuum (up to 1E-9 mmHg).

Specifically, Spring Energized Metal U-Ring is an enhanced Metal U-Ring. With an spring inside the substrate, Spring Energized Metal U-Ring can bear much greater load for rough surfaces, and can also achieve much lower leakage rate.
